notăm AM, BM, CP, DP bisectoarele interioare
AM ∩ DP = {Q}
BM ∩ CP = {N}
bisectoarele împart unghiurile în 8 unghiuri congruente cu măsura 45 °
în ΔAQD:
∢AQD = 180° - (∢QAD + ∢QDA) = 180° - (45° + 45°) = 180° - 90° = 90°
idem, în ΔBNC => ∢BNC = 90°
=> MNPQ este dreptunghi
ΔAQD dreptunghic isoscel => AQ ≡ DQ
ΔDPC ≡ ΔAMB (dreptunghice isoscele)
=> AM ≡ DP
AM - AQ = DP - DQ => MQ ≡ PQ
=> MNPQ este pătrat
