Christine and Peter stood outside the house with pure exhaustion written on their faces , naturally they were glad that the nightmare was finally over but as they watched the dangerous man get into the police car and then turn around to look them both with his cold black eyes their brains ran laps around thinking about what horrible things might've happened if the police didn't get here sooner , his gaze was threatening and piercing , if they didn't know anymore they might've thought he was looking straight into their scared souls .
