As soon as I saw the handwriting on the envelope I smiled. It was from my mother. It's been a while since I moved out amd I've been feeling quite lonely. It was nice to have someone to communicate with, even if it was through letters.
I opened the envelope, to read the letter. It talked about how much my mother misses me and hopes I will come by to visit for the holidays. She said she hopes I'm doing well and both her and my father hope to see me soon.
I was too distracted with the letter to notice the package that came with it. I first saw it when I finished reading. Assuming it was also from my mother, I brought it inside and opened it. It was food put in a casserole. Of course my mother is sending me this. Although she knows I can cook for myself she still sends me food. I really apreciate it.
I quickly put the casserole in the fridge and begin writing back to her as I wish to see her again soon.
